Selfishly Happy

A couple of weeks ago I made a comment about being "selfishly happy." I confessed that I made the decision a little more than a year ago to be selfishly happy and every moment since then has been better than the last. People seemed to connect with the statement and I was pleased that I allowed myself to be vulnerable and share a little of myself. Then, after the dust settled, the questions started pouring in. I was asked, time and time again what exactly it means to be selfishly happy. People said it sound so good, but after they read the statement they didn't know what to do with it. Someone even asked, when is selfish ever a good thing? So I thought I'd put a little meat on the bones of my statement and explain what selfishly happy means to me.

Whitney

Hello to you all!! My name is Whitney Baugh, and I am a 23 yr. old senior, currently attending Georgia Gwinnett College. I am studying Business Marketing and loving every moment of it. If you couldn't tell from the blonde hair and fire red streaks, I am very much into creativity, art, design, and research.  As a marketing student, I am of course a people person with an outgoing personality, but standing at only 5'2, I've learned to be confident, secure, and aggressive in a world full of lions, tigers, and bears.  I am originally from Oxnard, California, a small navy town right on the coast of Southern California. I have been in Georgia since 2005, and though I'm a long way from home, I have enjoyed my time in the South, and I hope to continue to enjoy my time, wherever God leads me.

Image is Everything

Image is EverythingI absolutely love this photo. To me it is a great reminder of how important it is to examine and reexamine our total package and it is the reason that I decided to host Image is Everything. You see I'm in the business of helping people identify and transition into rewarding professional careers. People come see me because they need help with either finding their passion, transitioning into a rewarding career or elevating in their profession.

We usually start with the basics...resume, networking, job search, etc. for job seekers and product, interests, networking, etc. for entrepreneurs. The part that MOST individuals overlook is the uniform! Looking the part is sometimes more important than being ready! A lot of times people just want to be able to trust you off site because after a while all of the resumes start to look alike.
