In a couple short weeks I will be in my hometown of Akron, Ohio presenting an entrepreneur conference for Ohio's go-getters. I have been asked to bring my work back home for years now and I'm super excited to have the opportunity to host this conference. As a Career Counselor and Empowerment Coach I have the pleasure of working with highly motivated, determined ladies all of the time. It is the energy of these beautiful spirits that keeps me charged and motivated to keep my own business afloat.
When I looked at my city and thought about who I wanted to be the first ladies to participate in this event one of the first people that came to mind was Ms. Telia Anderson. I've known Telia since middle school. She was always a kind heart even when we went through those not-so-kind years of our youth.
When I reached out to Telia and asked if she would be interested in participating she happily accepted my invitation and has been a joy to work with. In preparation for the September 1, 2012 Boss Makers 101 conference I asked Telia a few questions. Keep reading for her answers:
I have a new program to announce. I'm really excited about it. For more than a year now I've been working on developing a career transition program for a group of professionals that are highly ignored in the career counseling arena. After months and months of reading, research, planning and preparing I'm now ready to premier Sex Industry CEO's; a career transition program for strippers, exotic dancers and other women who work in legal, sex-related entertainment jobs.
I created this program after doing what I encourage my clients to do all of the time. I took something that I enjoy doing (career counseling) and found an audience or population that would benefit from my skill. I'm good at what I do. I successfully help women transition all of the time. I have helped women of all ages and at all stages. Sex Industry CEO's takes what I have successfully done for a wide variety of professionals and provides specific interventions for strippers.
