The Live Well CPS practice

My clients are people from all walks of life who need a little support working through a rough spot. I specialize in four very distinct areas; Career Coaching and Counseling, Women's Empowerment, Entrepreneur Coaching and Practice Building. A brief explanation of each is described below.

Career Coaching and Counseling

Career development is a lifelong process. Whether you're trying to decide on a major of study, preparing for a first job, returning to the workplace after a period of absence or anticipating a major career change, career decisions can be anxiety provoking and overwhelming.

My job as your counselor is to assist you in locating the resources that you need to make healthy career decisions and to help you decipher the symptoms of an unhealthy career. You should see me if you are feeling stuck, if your job is making you physically and/or emotionally ill, if you are underutilized or underemployed or if you simply don't know what to do next. I want to help you to explore both the internal and external obstacles that are holding you back. Both individual sessions and group programs are available to meet your needs.

Women's Empowerment

A woman's journey through life is intricate and complex and uniquely different than our male counterparts. As a feminist therapist I am aware of how juggling multiple roles (mother, student, wife, employee, caregiver, etc) can be emotionally and physically taxing. It's absolutely normal to feel overwhelmed, angry or depressed by these conditions. I can help you manage those feelings while laying the foundation for the life you desire.

Entrepreneur Coaching

A study done by Inc. magazine and the National Business Incubator Association (NBIA) revealed that 80 percent of new businesses fail within the first five years. Many businesses fail because the business owner is not properly equipped with the knowledge and resources to produce a thriving company. I am excited about assisting the hopeful entrepreneur in realizing their dream through knowledge building and accountability. If you have been thinking about starting your own business, I want to be your success partner.

Practice Building

Many people dream of starting a private practice so that they can help others, but lack the skills and knowledge needed to start their practice. Graduate school programs often teach you counseling skills and theory, but not business skills. If you are interested in exploring the challenging world of private practice management, I can help. Leaning on my own years of experience developing my practice, plus resources I've collected along the way, I will work with you on everything from determining your area of speciality to developing productive marketing tools. If you've ever wanted to start your own practice now is the time. What are you waiting for?
